These are "Special Projects" that the City of Gilbert,
private citizens and local businesses are involved in for our community and
visitors to enjoy.

Banners for Broadway

Banners for Broadway
project will help beautify our main street and entrance to town from
Highway 135 by hanging banners welcoming everyone to town. These
orange, black and white banners will depict what Gilbert has to
offer. The banners will proudly be displayed each summer from
Memorial Day to Labor Day. Plans for the banners are available to
see at City Hall or you may call 218 748-2232 with any questions.
In order to help with the cost, we are asking for donations to show
your pride in Gilbert by making a tax-deductible donation. Each
banner set (banner & bracket) will cost approximately $150.00 and we
plan on displaying roughly 60 banners. Donations can be

Gilbert Park Committee
The Gilbert Park Committee is trying to raise funds
to accomplish the renovation and updating of local parks. Donation
will help purchase new and updated equipment. We would like to set up
areas in or next to the parks where families can meet together, play,
barbeque, and picnic.
We thank you for your time and consideration and would love to have
your support in making a difference in our great town of Gilbert. If
you are interested in joining our committee, giving a helping hand, or
have any ideas please contact us.
Donations can be made to The Gilbert Parks Committee by mailing or
bringing them to the Gilbert City Hall or to one of the members listed
below.

New Main Street
Christmas Decorations Project
The City of Gilbert
purchased Christmas decorations with contributions received by local
businesses and citizens. The contributions were matched by the City
Electric Fund and cost of the decorations was approximately
$10,000.00.
A big "THANK YOU" to the
Community in showing their support. The decorations look
spectacular.
The City will gladly continue to accept donations for future
purchases of decoration.
